The design problem/prompt was to select an existing chocolate brand and revise its brand/packaging. I chose chocolate-covered pretzels from a Pittsburgh-based chocolatier called Sarris Candies. The existing package was flimsy and felt like the product would get crushed when shipped or stored.
My redesign plan intended to showcase the product while paying homage to Pittsburgh and protecting the pretzels inside. I also wanted to create a cohesive system so that other colors could be assigned to the different flavors. Since the package is 3D, all sides show a different view of the Pittsburgh skyline. Different sides of the package can be lined up on the shelf to offer a full panoramic view of the skyline.
This was a class project (fall 2018) with a 4-week timeline.
